Meet the skilled and compassionate varicose and spider vein staff at Minnesota Vein Center.
Rachel is the Technical Director of Minnesota Vein Center Peripheral Venous Vascular Laboratory, lead Registered Vascular Technologist and is first procedural assist. She is a 2006 graduate of the College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University with a bachelor's degree in biology. Following her degree completion, Rachel continued a clinical laboratory career until 2010. With a strong desire for patient interaction and to use her biology education, Rachel completed a Vascular Ultrasound program in 2010.
She is certified as Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Rachel has obtained Biosound Esaote Certification and is a member of the American College of Phlebology. She is an active member of the Society of Vascular Ultrasound, ARDMS and is CPR certified.
Katherine (Kate) is a 2002 graduate of Winona State School of Nursing. She provides procedural assistance and coordinates patient education, patient care and discharge planning. During her undergraduate studies, Kate assisted Minnesota Vein Center with EMR and other computer implementations as well as front office assistance. Kate is a very compassionate care-giver and is always appreciated by our patients for her soft touch, reassurance and clinical knowledge.
Katrina is the lead medical office administrative assistant. With years of public relations experience, Katrina understands the importance of human relations and effective communications and applies her professional skills in patient advocacy and patient triage. Her medical office operations extend to managing appointment scheduling, insurance issues and business communications.
Following medical law and ethics, she provides insight into the scope of practice and the importance of patient confidentiality, HIPAA, and other required documentation for our medical environment. With strong computer literacy, Katrina maintains and updates Minnesota Vein Center’s electronic medical records and other e-applications. She is a member of the Association of HealthCare Administrative Assistants.
Jaimie is a recent (2011) graduate of the University of Minnesota mathematics program. She has been a Minnesota Vein Center employee since 2005, functioning as an administrative assistant while completing her undergraduate mathematics degree, with an emphasis in actuarial science.
Jaimie has been instrumental in organizing and actively participating with the medical mission endeavors and is invaluable with our statistical analysis/research needs. She serves as project manager for the 2011 Minnesota Vein Center electronic medical records rollout, but also enjoys patient interaction and serves as financial/insurance specialist.
