Dr. Pal and Jacqueline S. Pal, CNP attended Harvard Medical School Update on Prevention, Evaluation and Treatment of Thrombosis and Thromboembolism, October 22nd and 23rd, 2015. The two day comprehensive review covered the most current and important changes and advances impacting care of those patients with or at risk for thrombosis and thromboembolism. The comprehensive review was presented at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, Boston by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and was directed by renowned Harvard Professor of Medicine’s S.Z. Goldhaber, MD and R.M. Ridker, MD, MPH. Eighteen Harvard Medical School faculty and 6 featured guest speakers presented on over 26 related topics. A highlight of the conference was a presentation by Keynote Dinner Speaker Eugene Braunwald, MD who for the past 30 years served as Chairman of the TIMI Study Group. Science Watch listed Dr. Braunwald as the most frequently cited author in cardiology; the living Nobel Prize winners in medicine voted Dr. Braunwald “the person who has contributed the most to cardiology in recent years.” Conference presentation topics can be found here.
