It’s that time of year here at Minnesota Vein Center.  The phone calls start coming in early in the morning and the phone continues ringing throughout the day, as people begin to realize mid-August is upon us. After these wonderful lazy ‘dog days,’ we experience a mad rush of planning for our children and our grandchildren’s return to school, college and life.  Not to mention, as parents, our own summer trips and fun have come and gone and it is time to take care of  business and our personal health.

October, November and December are the busiest months here at Minnesota Vein Center.  Most of our patients are,  what we call,  ‘the planners.’  They have been monitoring their insurance plans and deductibles, their health care savings accounts or their health reimbursement accounts.  Those who have met their insurance deductibles by August or September know this may be the best time to schedule  that much needed vein evaluation in order to meet a year-end insurance deadline.

Other patients have health savings accounts or health account reimbursements with funds still remaining. They simply would like to use these resources before the end of the year. Fall and early winter seem to be the most convenient and cost effective time for folks to think of their own health care needs including vein care and procedures.

Throughout the summer months unforeseen illnesses or accidents occur within families, and people find themselves suddenly in a more attractive insurance coverage situation especially when their deductible plan has been met just as the fall season draws near.  These ‘planners’ are already calling with this concern in mind.

The Minnesota Vein Center is busy year-round.  We strive to educate our own patient population to the details of health care insurance so as to better accommodate and provide the care for our patients.  The important take away message today for you is to ‘plan now’ to prepare for your end-of-year health care needs.  Minnesota Vein Center accepts all insurances,  Medicare and offer CareCredit.   For help in your vein health care planning call us today.
